At the core of my work is a belief in contributing to something greater than myself. Whether supporting individual homeowners or serving the broader community, I find the greatest fulfillment in helping others navigate the complex design and permitting process.

While innovation plays an important role in design, my focus extends beyond novelty. I approach each project with the understanding that I'm ultimately designing a home or cultural monument. I'm contributing to the community's urban fabric. I hope to foster connection, and provide a sense of beauty, peace, and belonging.

This philosophy guides every project I take on. My goal is not recognition or accolades, but to help create spaces that are thoughtful, functional, and grounded in the beautiful human experience.

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, I'm a Planner and Architectural Designer with a five-year professional Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and a minor in Urban Studies from Woodbury University. I bring ten years of professional experience that includes a mix of land-use planning, architectural design, construction administration, and project management.

My recent work in residential land-use planning throughout Santa Barbara has sharpened my attention to detail and strengthened my skills in analyzing a property's development potential, client collaboration, consultant coordination, and permit navigation. With my experience in both design and land use regulation, it's fostered a practical, well-rounded approach to the built environment.

Travels

On my adventures, I studied the urban morphology of various European countries. Together with my architectural professors and classmates, we had the opportunity live, work, and play in each city. We became fully immersed in each European culture, learning the City's history and politics, engaging with the wonderful community, and learned how these elements shaped its urban fabric.

Upon my return to America, I brought with me a fresh perspective and purpose to my architectural philosophy:

1. Humans NEED to be surrounded by beauty.

2. Being surrounded by beauty, subconsciously signals to our inner spirit that we are walking on sacred ground. It inspires to treat it with respect, it calms our inner spirit, it brings us joy to walk through such an elegant atmosphere. It elevates us to bring the best version of ourselves to the elegant environment.

Think about the most beautiful restaurants, palaces, homes, and churches...do you come dressed in rags? Or do you come dressed in your finest attire, worthy of the elegant atmosphere, carrying yourself with grace and dignity? Of course, you come dressed in your finest!

I propose that a City's culture is built on the foundation of beauty, seamlessly woven into it's urban fabric.

3. We need to live in a system of order that engages your senses, can adapt to the ever-changing technology of the age, and still provide amenities, agriculture, work, and play-spaces for generations to come.
